Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) Latest Jobs in Nigeria: Recruitment for State Project Coordinator, Facilitator Monitoring, Facilitator Evaluation Officer

THE ORGANIZATION:

The Kano State Government through the Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from the International Development Association (herein referred to as IDA) towards the implementation of Commercial Agriculture Development Project (CADP).

Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidate from within and outside the Civil Service to fill the under listed existing vacancies in the State Commercial Agriculture Development Office.

POST TITLE:   State Project Coordinator

OVERALL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
  • Head the secretarial of the State Steering Committee (SPC).
  • Responsible for the overall implementation of Project in the State.
  • Supervise staff of SCADO.
  • Liaise with other relevant programmes and technical departments in the State
  • Oversees contracting of support staff and consultants, particularly Commercial Agriculture Service Providers.
  • Ensure timely reporting and quality of reports to SSC and the National Steering Committee (NSC).
REPORTING & LOCATION:
  • The Position will be based in the State Commercial Agriculture Development Office in the State capital, 
  • The SPC will report directly to the Programme Manager in the State,
  • As a secretariat to the SSC, the SPC will also report quarterly to the State ADPEC.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
  • M.Sc degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Economics or other relevant discipline,
  • Minimum of 8 years post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a management Position,
  • Proven track record in the field of agriculture or rural development,
  • Good writing skills and computer literacy will be an added advantage,
  • Fluency in local language is a major advantage.

POST TITLE:   Facilitator Monitoring

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under the supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for generation of project specific information on progress, processes and performance.
SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

Specific duties of the position will include:
  • To establish indicators of efficiency, effectiveness and impact for the project,
  • To set up systems to collect information relating to these indicators,
  • To produce and disseminate periodic progress reports,
  • To analyze me information,
  • To carry out routine monitoring field visits to collect data on the project activities,
  • To assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the preparation of Annual Work plan and Budget,
  • To assist in Initiation and implementation of Project M and E workshops and training for Project Officers,
  • To undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • The applicant must possess a B.Sc. or higher degree in Agricultural Economics, economics, Statistics or other relevant degree,
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of developmental projects.

POST TITLE:   Facilitator Evaluation Officer

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Under the supervision of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for analyses and aggregation of data generated at various levels to track progress, process quality and project sustainability,
  • He will also document and disseminate feedback and key lessons learnt to relevant users and stakeholders.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:

Specific duties of the position will include:
  • To conduct impact evaluation and beneficiary assessments,
  • To undertake relevant surveys as may be required,
  • To analyze and disseminate periodic progress reports,
  • To undertake relevant evaluation as may be required,
  • To assess the project in terms of effectiveness, impact and sustainability,
  • To assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in the preparation of Animal Work plan and Budget,
  • To assist in Initiation and implementation of Project M and E workshops and training tor Project Officers,
  • To undertake any other duties as may be assigned by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • The applicant must possess a B.Sc. or higher degree in Agricultural Economics, Economics, Statistics or other relevant degree,
