Make a Call While Driving and Go to Jail, FRSC Warns

Make a Call While Driving and Go to Jail, FRSC WarnsThe Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has announced a newly adopted strategy that would ensure that any person caught using the mobile phone while driving, would no longer be fined but immediately taken to court and jailed.
Corp Marshal, FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka said other offences like speed driving, dangerous overtaking and overloading would equally attract court action instead of the usual fines.
The FRSC boss, who was speaking at a news conference in Abuja, said these new measures are part of a newly launched campaign to reduce the increased spate of road crashes in the country.
Commercial bus drivers are now expected to install speed limit devices in their vehicles so they henceforth should not exceed 100km per hour.
National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) however admitted that some drivers are guilty of the aforementioned road accident causing crimes.
The FRSC says it is partnering with several organizations including oil companies to fulfill its promise to make Nigerian roads one of the safest in the world by the year 2020.

Nigeria: On Wind of Change in Gateway City

ANALYSIS

While the Government of Ogun State is trying to turn the state into the 'huge construction site' that it is now, all the federal roads in Ogun are in tatters.
I do not speak of individuals here because the problem predates the Jonathan administration. I refer to this Unitary Republic of Nigeria disguised as Federal Republic of Nigeria. In a proper federation, the majority of roads lead to the federating states but in Nigeria, all roads lead to the centre --Abuja.
If you discover gold in your bedroom today, you have to first run to Abuja before you can touch it. A state government tries to ameliorate the hardship of its people on a federal road, the central authorities move in and say, "You can't touch this, you can't touch that!" If there is any menace I want to end in Nigeria today, it is the menace called federal road.

An internet user has just shared a bizarre image of a dog’s butt with a picture that resembles Jesus.
In the above picture, a closer look at the pug’s butt show a clear image of a man whom the guy claims is ‘his own’ Jesus.
As we speak, we’re still unsure if the guy photoshopped the picture.
Several people all over the world have shared pictures of item with Jesus’s face on them like paper goods, floor, etc.
When asked, the man said “It’s a true miracle”
Do you believe this guy because this picture looked photoshopped to me.
If the guy Photoshopped this, then this is blasphemy of the highest order.
May the Lord forgive him.
